Mt Baw Baw Ski Club

...a ski club for families since 1945

Welcome to Mt. Baw Baw Ski Club Inc.

We're now into our 71st year as a Club @ Mount Baw Baw!  In recognition we have just published our history which includes pictures from our 70th birthday celebrations.  At that party our youngest member was zero (hadn't yet turned one) to the oldest who was ninety! It was a great weekend where so many memories were shared.

Our club is the oldest club on the mountain so we urge you to view logo_ds.pngour history page to be amazed by some of the early photographs.  These pioneers managed to select a location that today is ideally situated near the ticket office and main lift area. From our lounge room we have excellent views and yu can ski right to the front door of the lodge.

If you're looking for a place to call 'home' while on the mountain please e-mail us at  to book some accommodation or perhaps find out how to become a family member.

School Holiday Snow!

We had a magnificient start to the school holidays.  On Friday 24/06 it was reported that we had snow at Moe!

Many families took the opportunity to stay at our club over the school holidays.  We don't often get snow so early so in the first week however there was enough to have 5 of the 7 lifts were operating.  In the last week of the holidays it just didn't get cold enough to stop the rain from causing havoc.  However the forecast for the 12 and 13th July looks promising which we hope will restore a firm base for the remainder of the season.  The forecast for end of this week is beautiful clear sunny days from Thursday to Sunday so with snow early in the week it should make for a pleasant time.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Thanks to Michelle & Chris for the picture!

Lodge Manager

This year we have a Chris Cupples as our Lodge Manager.  For CABS bookings, he'll be looking after your needs while staying at our club.  We welcome him to our club and Mt Baw Baw snowfields!

The Castle

Last year the Dobbie family out did their previous efforts with a magnificant igloo! Eric, Nigel and Sam couldn't repeat the igloo instead we built a big snow-castle.  Yes, looks can be deceiving - the castle shown is almost 1.8m high.  Many day-trippers to Mt Baw Baw took hundreds of photos both inside and out - so before the rain came it was enjoyed by all!

Club Weekend

Remember the important date of Club weekend which is the 13th (Sat) and 14th (Sun) August.  And this year will be able to celebrate Ray Whitehurst's birthday (a club Life member on the mountain!)
