About Mt Baw Baw and the Club
Mount Baw Baw Ski Resort
Mount Baw BawBaw Baw village is a small and friendly ski resort. Baw Baw village has ski hire, two restaurants, a pub and a store for those forgotten essentials. There are around two dozen club-style lodges.
Baw Baw Ski Resort is an inexpensive, friendly and fun way to introduce your family to skiing or snowboarding. There are five tows in the downhill area and excellent cross-country trails for the more energetic skiers.
Mount Baw Baw Ski Club
The original Baw Baw Ski Club hut was built by a few hardy pioneers in 1945, making this the oldest lodge on the mountain. Over the years, the building has grown into a comfortable and practical mountain retreat for today’s club members.
We believe we have the best location on the mountain – our club is ideally located near the ticket office and main lift area. You have exception views from our lounge and can ski right to the door of the lodge!
There are 25 beds in six bunk rooms, which accommodate between three and five people each. The communal lounge area is large enough to allow groups to be separate if they wish, or the whole room can be part of one big conversation. A very functional kitchen allows multiple groups to dine together or separately.
Our club motto is ‘…a ski club for families since 1945’ so over the years it has been a great for children from different families to play together. Baw Baw is a small and safe mountain for young skiers.
The lodge is an excellent venue outside of ski (white) season. For the more energetically inclined, try bushwalking though the national park or mountain biking down rugged tracks. Or it can also be a great “getaway” weekend location for when you simply need some quiet time.
